MEET DR. GERONIMO

Functional Medicine / Functional Neurology Specialist

Dr. Geronimo practices in beautiful San Diego, California. He is a board certified specialist in chiropractic neurology and has over 11 years of post graduate education in functional medicine. He is only one of 4 chiropractors in San Diego that is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology.

He attended both St. Michael’s in Poway and Rancho Bernardo High School. He earned his degree in physiology and neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego while serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences and graduated with honors. As a chiropractic student, he was the first in the nation to be awarded a Sports Medicine Residency at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. He went on to pursue a speciality in neurology from the Carrick Institute and passed the national board exams in 2016.

He specializes both in functional medicine and in functional neurology. His cutting edge approach helps children with developmental neurologic disorders and adults with chronic inflammation that result in brain fog, chronic fatigue, anxiety, and depression. Through a battery of labs he is able to identify the underlying causes of inflammation. He utilizes specialized lab tests that screens for inflammatory markers in the blood, saliva, urine, and stool. He then performs a comprehensive neurological and physical exam to localize the area of the brain that is not working properly and prescribes exercises to activate those systems and pathways. This perfect combination of functional medicine and functional neurology gives patients the opportunity to improve their quality of life and regain optimal brain function.
